WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington College men's swimming sophomore Isak Alin finished second in three individual events in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual meet loss to Ohio Northern University on Friday evening. The Polar Bears defeated the Fightin' Quakers 206-55.

Alin posted times of 31.48 seconds in the 50-meter breaststroke, 1:09.71 in the 100-meter breaststroke and 2:19.37 in the 200-meter IM to earn those runner-up finishes.

Logan Schroer turned in two individual third-place finishes - 58.67 seconds in the 100-meter freestyle and 29.06 seconds in the 50-meter butterfly.

"Both Isak [Alin] and Logan [Schroer] are training and swimming really well," Head Men's Swimming Coach Trip Breen said. "As we move through the season, both will continue to be great leaders for our team and improve."

Brody Morris joined Alin in placing in the 100-meter breaststroke with a third-place finishing time of 1:15.89. Reed Ashcraft took third in the 50-meter backstroke.

"Reed Ashcraft had a great meet," said Breen. "Matthew Bosse in the backstroke has been working with him on some backstroke stuff."

"After a week of great training, I was really pleased that we were able to win a lot of close races," Breen continued. "That is a testament to their support for one another."

Wilmington returns to action on Nov. 2 for a double dual meet with Transylvania University and Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
