WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's swimming team won its third dual meet in a row on Saturday afternoon, defeating Manchester University 63-9 at the Wilmington Natatorium.

Isak Alin won two individual evens including the 50-meter freestyle (25.39 seconds) and 100-meter breaststroke (1:08.65).

"Isak [Alin] doesn't often swim freestyle events for us, but had a lifetime best today," Head Men's Swimming Coach Trip Breen said.

Four other Quakers won a single individual event. Mike Austin won the 100-meter backstroke (1:14.49), Jared Shoemaker triumphed in the 100-meter freestyle (1:02.32), Matt Allen earned a victory in the 200-meter IM (2:28.84) and Logan Schroer won the 400-meter freestyle (4:37.71).

Additionally, Alin and Schroer teamed up with Shelby Kirby and Hannah Davis of the women's team to win the 200-meter mixed relay in 2:12.06.

"Both teams continue to swim and train well despite being tired and sore at this part in the year," said Breen. "We are looking forward to competing at an invitational next weekend."

Wilmington heads to Ohio Wesleyan University for that invitational on Nov. 23-24.
