WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team continues Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Wednesday when nationally-ranked Ohio Northern University comes to Fred Raizk Arena for a 7 p.m. match.

The Teams: Wilmington and Ohio Northern (ONU). The Fightin' Quakers are looking to snap a six-match losing streak dating back to Sept. 25 having most recently fallen 3-0 at the University of Mount Union on Saturday. The Polar Bears are 15-1 overall and 4-0 in OAC competition after a five-set win over Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday.

The Coaches: A new era of Wilmington volleyball has arrived Sophie Windover, a former collegiate player and assistant at Heidelberg University, takes over as head coach. She helped guide the Student Princes to a 21-8 record and an appearance in the AVCA Top 25 Poll. Katie Kuhn, a 2008 ONU graduate and three-year team captain, is in her second season as ONU's head volleyball coach.

The Players: Sofia Thomas leads Wilmington offensively with a 2.50 kills per set average. Three other Quakers – Sydney Geibel, Victoria Long, Joy Bebe – put down nearly 1.50 kills per set. Setter Andie Dolven runs Wilmington's 5-1 offense to the tunes of 7.32 assists per set while Blake O'Brien, WC's libero, leads the back row averaging over five digs per set. A quartet of Polar Bears – Taylor Baxter, Melina Woods, Emma Strozewski, and Erin Wagner – all put down over two kills per set. Kiki Conrad and Grace Conrad combine to dish out over 12 assists per set.

You Matter Match: Partnering with the WC Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Wilmington will be wearing shirts commemorating the College's core values. "Regardless of your race, religion or sexual orientation, YOU matter to us!"
