Quakers Barrel Past Muskingum Wednesday Night for Second Straight Victory

(NEW CONCORD, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's soccer team secured their second straight win Wednesday night on the road in New Concord, Ohio, 1-0 over the Muskingum University Fighting Muskies. The Quakers are now 9-6-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).

The Quakers were taking shots early and often in this one. They took 11 shots in the first half, with four on goal, but had nothing to show for it. This continued in the second half, as Wilmington took eight shots, with five on goal before putting one in the back of the net.

It started from near midfield as Jada Pohlen passed it to MJ Little. Little worked around her defender down the right sideline near the corner before sending in a cross to Alex Wilson, who was stationed right in front of the net for an easy header for the 1-0 advantage. Wilmington had four more shots during the remainder of the game, with a pair being on goal.
