Little's Late Equalizer Pushes Quakers to Draw With Marietta

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - On a rainy and dreary Saturday night at Williams Stadium, a late goal from freshman MJ Little pushed the Quakers to a 1-1 draw with the visiting Marietta College Pioneers. The Quakers are now 7-5-2 this season and 0-4-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Despite 13 total shots from both teams, and seven on goal, neither team had anything to show for it at the end of the first half. It looked for a while as though it may be a 0-0 draw before Marietta's Ryah Haidar found the back of the net in the 70th minute to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead. MJ Little answered the call in the 82nd minute for the Quakers, as she sent an unassisted strike to the upper left corner of the net to tie the game at 1-1. Both teams took one more shot down the stretch, with neither on goal to conclude the 1-1 hard fought draw.

Notables

  • This was the third goal of Little's freshman campaign.

  • Haley Fulton, Katie Bradford, and Alex Wilson all took three shots in the game, as Fulton put a team-high two on goal.
