Jordan Snyder Nets Two as Women's Soccer Defeats Bethany 5-2

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team defeated the Bethany Bison by a final score of 5-2.

The only thing hotter than the Quaker offense today was the weather. After scoring four goals in the season opener on Friday the Quakers followed up that performance with a five goal outburst today. Jordan Snyder struck first and second for Wilmington as she found the net at the five minute mark and then again eight minutes later. Sophomores Jada Pohlen and Alex Wilson each assisted a Snyder goal. Elizabeth Matthews converted a penalty kick and the score at the half was 3-1 for the home team.

Alex Wilson opened the second half with a goal in the first minute, her second of the season. Jada Pohlen would finish another Alex Wilson assist to put the Quakers up 5-1 late in the second half. Bethany's Jada Benjamin would score a goal late bringing the final to 5-2 Wilmington.

Up next the Franklin Grizzlies will come to Wilmington for a Wednesday evening contest starting at 7:00 in Williams Stadium.
