Lovett Garners OAC Player of the Week Honors After Big Game Saturday

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their Athletes of the Week this afternoon and fifth year Quaker Cassidy Lovett was named the women's basketball player of the week. This is the first time Lovett has been named player of the week in her career and she is the first Quakers women's basketball to earn this honor since McKayla Binkley on March 1st, 2021.  

Lovett had a huge day on Saturday afternoon in Hermann Court against the John Carroll University Blue Streaks in a 60-59 loss. She scored a career-high 25 points, grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds, stole five passes, and dished out one assist to lead Wilmington while playing all 40 minutes. This was the first double-double of her collegiate career.

Lovett is fifth in the OAC this season with 115 points, second with 27 steals, and sixth with 26 offensive rebounds. The Quakers are back on the floor tonight at Earlham College for their annual Quaker Bowl game beginning at 7:00 P.M.
