Mackenzie Campbell Named to All-OAC Second Team

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Wilmington College women's basketball junior Mackenzie Campbell was named Second Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) as the conference announced its women's basketball postseason honors on Wednesday morning.

Campbell led Wilmington offensively by scoring 14.1 points per game while also leading the Fightin' Quakers in rebounding at 6.8 boards per contest and assists at 2.8 per game. Campbell, who often drew the toughest defensive assignment, led the team in minutes played at 30.6 and also scored in double figures 19 times.

A member of the program's 1,000-point club, Campbell currently sits 12th in career scoring with 1,198 points. She earned First Team All-OAC honors a season ago.

"Mackenzie [Campbell] is the epitome of what a student-athlete can be," Head Women's Basketball Jerry Scheve said. "She is a great student, a great player and more importantly a great person. I feel lucky to get to coach people like her."

Campbell, who also carries a 3.98 grade point average as an exercise science major, recently garnered Second Team Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Wilmington finished its 2017-18 season with an 11-15 overall record and a 6-12 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) competition. The Quakers earned their 18th consecutive trip to the OAC Tournament as well.
