WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team travels to Ohio Northern University (ONU) for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament quarterfinal round game on Tuesday evening. Tip-off from the ONU Sports Center is slated for 6 p.m.
The Teams: No. 8-seeded Wilmington and No. 1-seeded ONU. The Fightin' Quakers finished the regular season with an 11-14 overall record and a 6-12 mark in OAC play. Wilmington enters the tournament trying to snap a four-game losing streak after concluding the regular season with a 78-67 loss to Baldwin Wallace University (BW). The Polar Bears are 21-4 overall and 15-3 in conference play after claiming the OAC's regular season conference championship with a 93-85 double-overtime victory at Marietta College.
The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 28th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, has amassed over 450 career victories. Michele Durand has been the head women's basketball coach at Ohio Northern since the 2001-02 season. She led the Polar Bears to OAC regular season and tournament championships last year to go along with a 30-1 record.
The Players: Mackenzie Campbell leads the Quakers in scoring at 14.4 points per game while also grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game, second on the team, and joining Savannah Hooper to lead the team with 2.6 assists per game. Hooper, Emily Harman and Faith Teaford all score over six points per game. Harman also leads the team in rebounding at 6.9 boards per contest while Teaford turned a career-high 21 points against BW on Saturday. Amy Bullimore averages over a double-double for the Polar Bears as she averages 17.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per contest.

Rematch of 2017 OAC Tournament Final: Wilmington and Ohio Northern met in the OAC Tournament championship game last season. The Polar Bears, ranked No. 5 at the time, defeated the Quakers 70-55.
OAC Tournament History: Wilmington is 25-13 overall in the OAC Tournament having qualified for the last 17 seasons. The Fightin' Quakers are 10-7 in quarterfinal round games, 1-3 against ONU and have not played a game as the No. 8 seed in the OAC Tournament.
