INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and Wilmington College will have a representative.

For the second consecutive year, senior Marissa Bolen (Gibsonburg, OH/Gibsonburg) will be fighting for a National Championship in the shot put. Bolen qualified eighth with a toss of 13.94 meters.

"I am excited to see what Marissa can do at the National Meet," said Wilmington head coach Ron Combs. "She has been very focused and has competed on a really high level consistently for the last three weeks in the lead-up to Nationals.  I think the experience she has gained from competing in the last two National Meets will help her this year at Wartburg."

The NCAA Division III Outdoor track and field championships will be held in Waverly, IA on the campus of Wartburg College. Bolen will compete noon Friday.

Bolen finished 11th in the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor track and field championships, and 17th in the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor track and field championships.
