BEXLEY – The Wilmington College women's track and field team placed 13th of 19 teams at the Rick Meindl Last Call meet in the Capital Center on the campus of Capital University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Three Wilmington athletes scored in three different events.
- Senior Marissa Bolen (Gibsonburg, OH/Gibsonburg) was the highest placing WC athlete, finishing third in the shot put (13.26). Heading into the OAC championships, Bolen is ranked third in the OAC and 16th nationally in the event.
- Junior Angela Dorsett (Pittsburgh, PA/West Mifflin) placed sixth in the triple jump (10.09 meters).
- Sophomore Ashley Lovett (Washington Court House, OH/Washington) scored by placing fifth in the 500 (1:27.70).
WHAT'S NEXT
- Wilmington wraps up the indoor season with the OAC Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at Marietta University.
