Women's Swimming to Compete at OWU Invitational for Final Time in Calendar Year

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's swimming team takes to the pool for the final time in the 2019 calendar year this weekend at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational.

The Invitational: Saturday will feature two sessions – a 10 a.m. morning session and a 5:30 p.m. evening session – followed by a 10 a.m. morning session on Sunday.

The Coach: Trip Breen is in his 20th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season.

Who to Watch: In freestyle events, Margaret Hover has been the Fightin' Quakers' best sprinter in freestyle events this far this season including the 50-yard, 100-yard, 500-yard and 1,000-yard events. Macki Leon, who has teamed up with Hover on Wilmington's undefeated 200-yard freestyle relay squad, has the team's best times in backstroke and IM events. Maryn Herring boasts the best marks in butterfly events while Fynn Roberts leads the Quakers' breaststrokers.

Hot Streak: Wilmington has won two consecutive dual meets including a double-dual.
