SERIES HISTORY

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team looks to remain unbeaten at home when the Fightin' Quakers host Mount St. Joseph University (MSJ) for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Mount St. Joseph. The Quakers are 2-1-0 after narrowly beating Wittenberg University 2-1 in double overtime on Wednesday evening. The Lions are 2-0-1 after a 1-1 draw with Albion College (Michigan) on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk enters his 27th season as Wilmington's head women's soccer coach. Spirk, a 1982 alumnus, has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournaments, eight conference championships and over 300 victories during his tenure. A member of the Wilmington Athletics Hall of Fame, Spirk was a four-time All-American and holds several of the College's men's soccer records. Josh Hess is in his sixth season leading the MSJ women's soccer program.

The Players: Four different Quakers - Kaitlin Evans, Paige Lane, Taylor Leake and Alex Vestal - have all scored goals for Wilmington. Vestal netted the game-winner against Wittenberg 26 seconds into double overtime earlier this week. MSJ has scores seven goals through three games this season. Three Lions - Stefanie Autenrieb, Kaylan Gruber and Kara Vennemeier - have netted two goals each.

Series History: Wilmington is 15-3-2 against MSJ in the last three decades. The Lions have won the last two matchups, however, including a 1-0 victory on Sept. 1, 2015, the last time the two teams played at Williams Stadium.
