WC Women's Soccer to Host I.D. Camp

The I.D. camp will feature the staff of the Wilmington College women's soccer team led by Head Coach Steve Spirk who has been involved in soccer for over 40 years Assistant Coach Nick Kinder (NSCAA Advanced National), Bob Dessecker (recruiting coordinator) and current Wilmington College players. The camp is open to any female player who aspires to play collegiate soccer.

The Wilmington College staff believes that players need to be exposed to the technical/tactical, physical and mental demands of the game. The focus of all activities will allow the campers to experience what it takes to compete at the college level.

Players will receive individual attention from the staff of coaches and players. A combination of training sessions, small sided 6v6 and 8v8 games will be at the core of the camp curriculum. Goalkeepers will have private instruction from our goal keeper coach during the training session portion. 

Location: Wilmington College Indoor Soccer Facilities (Center for Sport Sciences) 1870 Quaker Way Wilmington, OH 45177.

Registration Deadline: June 19, 2019

Schedule: Activities start at 9:00 a.m. with check-in followed by a one and a half hour training session for field players and goalkeepers. 6v6 games with finishing followed by a one-hour lecture/panel discussion on being a collegiate athlete and the academic requirements for perspective student athletes to become Wilmington College players. After lunch a warm-up session and 8v8 games will be completed and the I.D. Camp will conclude at 2:00pm.

Footwear: outdoor cleats are permitted on our turf fields.
