WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's cross country team will travel to Cedarville for the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships. This is the first time the course will be run under the lights at night for the Quakers.
The Race: The women's 5,000-meter race will shoot off at 8:25 PM.
The Teams: The Quakers will be joined by 40+ Division III schools.
The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 27th season as head cross country coach at Wilmington College. A 1993 graduate of Wilmington, Combs was a member of the only cross country team to win a conference title in school history. Also the head track & field coach at the College, Combs led the Fightin' Quakers to two top-10 finishes nationally with a sixth place finish at the 2002 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships and a seventh place mark at the 2004 Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Squad: Milena Wahl is coming off of a top-five finish and will lead the squad. Julia Bystrom and Bella Stevens will lead the trail pack as the Quakers take on the third race of the season.
