Women's Cross Country Reveals 2022 Schedule

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's cross country team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2022 fall season. The season begins on Friday, Sept. 2 with the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships slated for Nov. 19.

The Fightin' Quakers open the year at the Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic in Fairborn, on Friday, Sept. 2, before heading up Interstate 75 to Tiffin and the Heidelberg Invitational at Hedges Boyer Park the following week. The All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships, held at Cedarville University, follows on Sept. 16 while WC will end the month with a weekend off.

The month of October begins with the pre-nationals meet hosted at Forest Akers Golf Club in Lansing, Michigan. After a week off, the Quakers host their annual JennaStrong Fall Classic (formerly the WC Fall Classic) for the ninth/29th consecutive year on Friday, Oct. 14. After that meet, one of the largest and most prestigious in the region, WC will rest for a week before heading to New Concord and Muskingum University for the 2022 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29.

November begins with an off week to help the Quakers prepare for the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet hosted at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, on Nov. 12. Should the team or an individual qualify, the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships are slated for Nov. 19 at Forest Akers Golf Club, the same course WC will run some seven-plus weeks ago.
