WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's cross country team starts the 2022-23 cross country season at the Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic in Fairborn, Ohio. The Quakers finished sixth in the Ohio Athletic Conference last season and return a handful of talent. 

The Race: The women's 5,000-meter run takes place after the men's race at 6:45 PM.

The Teams: The Quakers will be joined by an open field of collegiate teams and athletes.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 27th season as head cross country coach at Wilmington College. A 1993 graduate of Wilmington, Combs was a member of the only cross country team to win a conference title in school history. Also the head track & field coach at the College, Combs led the Fightin' Quakers to two top-10 finishes nationally with a sixth place finish at the 2002 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships and a seventh place mark at the 2004 Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Squad: The Quaker squad has multiple returners this season with Milena Wahl, Bella Stevens and Julia Bystrom.
