Women's Cross Country Closes Out Season at Great Lakes Regional Championship

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's cross country team closes out the season as a team at the Great Lakes Cross Country Regional Championships in Holland, Michigan. Hope College will be the hosts as the field will compete at Three Fires Golf Club. 

The Race: The women's 6,000-meter race will begin at 11:00 AM.

The Teams: The Quakers will face the entirety of the Great Lakes Region. 

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 27th season as head cross country coach at Wilmington College. A 1993 graduate of Wilmington, Combs was a member of the only cross country team to win a conference title in school history. Also the head track & field coach at the College, Combs led the Fightin' Quakers to two top-10 finishes nationally with a sixth place finish at the 2002 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships and a seventh place mark at the 2004 Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Squad: The senior duo of AJ Houseman and Julia Bystrom will go one more week as they look to end their collegiate career in the postseason. Katie Rauch will close out her season after appearing in every meet for the Quakers this season.
