Women's Cross-Country Completes First Meet of the Season at Mike Baumer's Cross Country Classic

FAIRBORN, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's cross country team started the 2022-23 season at the Mike Baumer Cross-Country Classic on Friday evening. The squad had a shortened staff with only four runners competing. Ohio State took home first place with 19 points as Oakland (76 points) and Dayton (77 points) battled for second place. 

Julia Bystrom led the Quakers finishing in 23:36 for a new personal best in the 5,000-meter run by over a minute-and-a-half. Kaitlyn Rauch crossed the line in 25:31 to finish second on the team. Jordan Snarr and Sadie Devore finished side-by-side to round out the squad. 

Wilmington will compete in Tiffin, Ohio next Friday.
