Volleyball Falls to Baldwin Wallace in Straight Sets

BEREA, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University (BW) tallied a .380 attack percentage in a straight-set victory over the Wilmington College volleyball team by scores of 25-9, 25-19, 25-9 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) on Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets hit over a .400 clip in both the first and third sets. The Fightin' Quakers were competitive in the second set with a .161 clip in the second set, but couldn't overcome 18 kills from BW.

Karrah Wind and Jillian Wesco led Wilmington with five kills each while Jacie Koontz and Summer Wilbur combined to dish out 16 assists. Karley Schlensker tallied 12 digs while Meghan Koch bolstered the Quakers' front row defensively with four block assists.

Taylor Brown led BW with 10 kills while Ivy Earl had nine kills and Sam Pruett and Mary Zurbrugg both had eight putdowns. Kathleen Egan and Ashley Nuding combined for 41 assists while Sarah Reinhart had 18 digs.

Wilmington (7-19, 0-7 OAC) hosts Capital University for the final home game of the season on Tuesday. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
