SERIES HISTORY

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team returns to Hermann Court on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest against Bluffton University.

The Teams: Wilmington and Bluffton. The Fightin' Quakers are 1-11 overall after a losing four matches at the Manchester University Invitational last weekend. The Beavers are 5-7 overall but won all three matches last weekend.

The Coaches: Tim O'Brien enters his fourth year as Wilmington's head volleyball coach. He has improved the Quakers' wins total each of his first three seasons and is looking to break through in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) this season. A 2012 graduate of Siena Heights University, O'Brien was a four-year letter-winner for the Saints' men's volleyball, team and ranks in seven career and seasonal program records. Steve Yarnell is in his 13th season as head coach at Bluffton. He has led the Beavers to multiple NCAA Division III Tournament appearances in his tenure.

The Players: Offensively, Jillian Wesco leads Wilmington with 87 kills and just under two kills per set. Mariella Szrom and Karrah Wind both have over 50 kills while Jacie Koontz has dished out 123 assists for an average of 3.42 per set. Defensively, Karley Schlensker and Wesco have both recorded over 150 digs per set. Bethany Martini and Remi Bower have both tallied over 100 kills this season with Martini averages 3.20 kills per set. Erin Weisgarber averages 8.64 assists per set while Brooke Kleman tallies over five digs per set.
