Schafer and Spanfellner Compete for Wilmington at Baldwin Wallace Friday

(BEREA, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's track & field competed today in an unscored Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet at George Finnie Stadium on the campus of Baldwin Wallace University.

Kylee Schafer and Rachel Spanfellner both competed in the 100 Meter Dash prelims, but neither made it to the finals. Schafer set a season best in the event with a time of 12.55, finishing ninth and just missing out on qualifying for the finals. Spanfellner finished 13th at 12.85 seconds, and narrowly missed out on lowering her personal best time of 12.82.

Schafer and Spanfellner also competed in the 200 Meter Dash for Wilmington. Schafer crossed the line in a time of 26.32 seconds, while Spanfellner set a new personal best time of 26.56 seconds.

Haley Cook was scheduled to run the 400 Meter Dash for the Quakers but did not start.

What's Up Next

Wilmington competes in one more meet next weekend before the Division III Outdoor Championships. They are at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet in Alliance, Ohio at the University of Mount Union on Thursday, May 16th.
