Quakers Compete at Cherry Blossom Invitational Saturday at Ohio University

(ATHENS, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's track & field team competed in an unscored Cherry Blossom Invitational on Saturday at Ohio University.

The Quakers best finisher during the day was Madison Dietz, who was third in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.20m. This is a season-best jump for Dietz. She was also a part of the Quakers 4x100m Relay Team that finished in sixth place with a season-best time of 49.90 seconds. The team consisted of Dietz, Haley Cook, Chloe Sutton, and Rachel Spanfellner.

Cook competed in the 400 Meter Dash and finished in a time of 1:00.17 seconds for fifth place. This is just off her season-best time of 1:00.13.

In the field events, Kaitlynn Hickey finished eighth in the Shot Put with a mark of 11.15m. This distance is a season-best for Hickey.

What's Up Next

Wilmington will be back in action on Friday. Some athletes will compete at the Jesse Owens Classic hosted at the Ohio State University while others compete at the Otterbein Twilight hosted by Otterbein University.
