Duncan Dominates Day Two; Quakers Finish Sixth at OAC Indoor Championships

(NEW CONCORD, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's track & field team completed the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships this afternoon. The Quakers finished in sixth place out of 10 teams with a total team score of 31.

Leading the Quakers on day two was Faith Duncan, who scored 18 total points with a first place finish and a second-place finish. She won the 3000 Meter Run by over 20 seconds at 10:05.31 to score 10 points for Wilmington. She was second in the Mile with a time of 5:05.57, while Baldwin Wallace University's Hope Murphy edged her out with a time of 5:03.51.

Also scoring for Wilmington was the 4x200 Meter Relay team of Jaineen Smith, Haley Cook, Chloe Sutton, and Rachel Spanfellner. The team finished with a time of 1:52.37 to finish in sixth for three points.

What's Up Next

Wilmington will have one more chance to garner qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships next week in Alliance, Ohio at the Mount Union Final Qualifier. The meet takes place on Friday and Saturday.
