Relay Squad Comes Milliseconds from School Record as 2022 Outdoor Season Comes to an End

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's track & field team closed out the season at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet.

The 4-x-100-meter relay squad of Madison Dietz, Haley Cook, Emma Burke and Kylee Schafer came milliseconds away from a school record. The group ran a season-best time of 48.75, .04 seconds off of the 2002 record of 48.71. 

Kylee Schafer ran a season-best time in the 200-meter run with a fifth place time of 25.83. Emma Burke finished second in the 400-meter hurdles crossing the line in 1:04.22.

In the field events, Madison Dietz placed sixth in long jump with a leap of 17' 0.5". Kayli Sullivan closed out her collegiate career with a seventh place finish in hammer throw.
