Women's Track & Field Opens Indoor Season at Wittenberg

RESULTS

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track & field team opened the indoor season at the Tiger Open hosted at Wittenberg University's Steemer Center on Saturday. As a team, the Fightin' Quakers placed ninth of 13 squads. Cedarville University won the meet with 96 total points.

Wilmington had three scoring performances in track events and five in field events. The Quakers had two places in the mile run as Kolby Gluchowski and Bella Stevens finished third (5:49.17) and seventh (6:23.49) respectively. Milena Wahl provided the other points for the team on the track, running a time of 11:02.45 in the 3,000-meter run to take fourth in the event.

In field events, Madison Dietz placed in two jumping events, leaping 16' 10 1/2" in the long jump and 33' 4 1/2" in the triple jump to place third and fifth respectively. Lexi Grice provided the squad points in both the shot put (seventh - 32' 11 3/4") and weight throw (eighth - 39' 2 1/2"). Lily Williford rounded out the evening with a fourth-place mark of 9' 1/4" in the pole vault.

Wilmington will have the rest of the month and 2021 calendar year off. The Quakers are scheduled to return to competition at the Snow Globe Open hosted by Otterbein University on Jan. 15, 2022.
