WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track & field team heads to Berea, Ohio, and Baldwin Wallace University for the 2022 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week.

The Schedule: Competition is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday and and 11 a.m. on Friday. A complete schedule of events can be viewed at the link above. 

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Baldwin Wallace as well as the other eight OAC institutions - Capital University, Heidelberg University, John Carroll University, Marietta College, the University of Mount Union, Muskingum University, Ohio Northern University and Otterbein University.

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 24th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch - Track Events: The Fightin' Quakers have three individuals seeded the top eight of four individual events. Fifth-year senior Emma Burke is third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.07) and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (15.61 seconds) while Milena Wahl has hte seventh-fastest time (4:52.08) in the 1,500-meter run and Kylee Schafter is seeded fourth (1:00.94) in the 400-meter dash. WC's relay team of Burke, Haley Cook, Madison Dietz and Schafer are among the top four in the league in both the 4-x-100-meter (49.35 seconds) and 4-x-400-meter (4:17.70) relay events. 

Who to Watch - Field Events: Fifth-year senior Kayli Sullivan has the OAC's third-best mark in both the shot put (12.41 meters) and hammer throw (48.39 meters) to headline the Quaker throws group. In jumps, Dietz is seeded third in the long jump (5.35 meters) and eighth in the triple jump (9.98 meters) while Cook is sixth in the high jump (1.54 meter).
