Women's Swimming Closes Calendar Year in Delaware This Weekend

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's swimming team closes the 2021 calendar year with a trip to Delaware, Ohio, for the Corbiere-Merion Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University this weekend. Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Coach: Trip Breen is in his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season.

Who to Watch: In freestyle events, Ashley Carleson, Audrey Bibb and and Anna Endsley have the team's top times in sprint and middle distance freestyle events while Emma Thompson's swim of 12:11.90 at the double dual meet in Lexington, Kentucky, is the team's best swim in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Sierra Szuhay (backstroke) and McKenzie Danhoff (breaststroke) are expected to swim in their respective events as they hold the Fightin' Quakers' top times thus far this season.
