WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's swimming team opens the 2021-22 season this Saturday with an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) meet at Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday. Events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
The Coaches: Trip Breen is in his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season. Laura Demaline has been Baldwin Wallace's head coach for over a decade.
Who to Watch: A duo of seniors - Maryn Herring and Lauryn White - begin their final season seasons wearing the Green & White as both are slated to compete in butterfly and freestyle events. Junior Ashley Carlson will look to build upon a consolation finishes in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events at the OAC Championships last spring.
