Truss scores in three events for @DubC_XCTR men

BEXLEY – The Wilmington College men's track and field team placed seventh of 19 teams at the Rick Meindl Last Call meet in the Capital Center on the campus of Capital University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Wilmington scored the majority of their points in field events.
  • Senior Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) scored in three events for the Fightin' Quakers. He was second in the triple jump (12.86 meters), third in the high jump (1.95 meters) and eighth in the long jump (6.39 meters).
  • Junior Zak Kruer (Miamisburg, OH/Miamisburg) was the highest placing Division III athlete in the pole vault, finishing second (4.15 meters).
  • Sophomore Kalvin Butts (St. John's, MI/St. John's) was sixth in the weight throw (14.64).
  • Sophomore Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) continues to rack up points for the Fightin' Quakers, this time placing fourth in the 500 run (1:08.57).
  • Freshman Gino Hinton (Maple Heights, OH/Maple Heights) was the fastest Division III runner in the 60 meter dash (7.14).

WHAT'S NEXT

  • Wilmington wraps up the indoor season with the OAC Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at Marietta University.
