TIFFIN – The Wilmington College men's track and field team competed in the non-scored Tiffin University Alumni Open Saturday.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Travis Scheadler (Goshen, OH/Goshen) won his 200 meter dash heat, and finished 10th of 35 (23.89).
- Freshman Rick Pride (Mt. Orab, OH/Western Brown) finished third in the mile (4:45.75)
- Senior Dominic King (Bettsville, OH/Bettsville) finished 3rd with a time of 9:33.67 in the 3k
- Freshman Elliot Phillimore (Old Fort, OH/Old Fort) won the in the 600m run (1:32.31).
- Sophomore Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) finished 11th overall in the 60 hurdles, running a lifetime best 8.78 in the prelims.
- Sophomore Kalvin Butts (St. John's, MI/St. John's) finished 18th out of 44 in shot put with a personal best throw of 41'10.5". He also had a personal best in the weight throw with a throw of 47'7"

- "I thought we competed well in a really tough meet," said Wilmington head coach Ron Coms. "We usually like to compete at a low key meet to start things off in December, but I thought the kids handled it pretty well."
The Fightin' Quakers are off until January 16 when they travel to the Otterbein Invitational.
