WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College baseball team looks to snap an 10-game Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) losing skid on Friday when the University of Mount Union comes to Tewksbury-Delaney Field for a doubleheader slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Mount Union. The Fightin' Quakers are 6-23 overall and 2-10 in conference play after falling to Capital University in two games on Tuesday. The Purple Raiders are 17-11 on the season and 3-7 in OAC play after splitting a series with John Carroll University on Tuesday.

The Coaches: The 2019 season marks the new era for Wilmington College baseball team as the head coach Tony Vittorio starts his first season in charge of the program. He most recently served as the head coach at the University of Dayton for 18 seasons. Paul Hesse is in his 23rd season as Mount Union's head baseball coach.

The Hitters: Gage Bley has been Wilmington's best offensive player through 29 games as the senior leads the team in many offensive categories that include: batting average (.390), hits (48), runs (26) doubles (16) and RBIs (26). Luke Kleindl has a team-best three home runs while Antonio Miller has swiped 22 stolen bases while only being caught five times. Nick Silvis, who is tied with Bley with two triples to lead the team, carries a .327 batting average. Billy Goodall has a team-high nine doubles, 25 RBIs and 22 stolen bases for the Purple Raiders. Bryant Kennedy has a .400 batting average to go along with drawing a squad-best 21 walks.

The Pitchers: Jared Ferenchak and Matt Oney both boast ERAs under 4.50 for Wilmington. Ferenchak, who has pitched a team-high 46.2 innings along with Lance Fleischman, is 1-1 overall with a save while Fleischman has a team-best 35 strikeouts. Phil Mary is 3-1 with two saves in 45.2 innings pitched for Mount Union to go along with a 2.76 ERA and 50 strikeouts.
