AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the first time since 2006, the Wilmington College baseball team has three All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honorees as the league released its All-OAC baseball teams on Monday.

Gage Bley garnered First Team All-OAC honors, Antonio Miller earned Second Team All-OAC recognition and Nick Silvis garnered Honorable Mention All-OAC honors.

Bley, who is the first Fightin' Quaker to earn First Team All-OAC honors since Aaron Lawson and Justin Evans in 2003, had a banner offensive year and led Wilmington in several offensive categories including: batting average (.395), hits (62), runs (32), doubles (19), triples (2) and RBI 33. The Harrison native finished fourth in the OAC in batting average and currently sits 10th in NCAA Division III in doubles with 19. In conference play, he hit an even .500 and struck out just a single time in 74 at bats. Additionally, Bley was named Most Valuable Player by the Wilmington coaching staff.

Miller, who is the Quakers' first Second Team All-OAC honoree in over a decade, lead both the OAC and Wilmington in stolen bases with 32 on the season. He currently is 11th in NCAA Division III in the category. Along with his prowess on the bath paths, Miller also hit a .310 clip and tallied 40 hits to go along with eight doubles and a team-high 20 walks. Miller was picked by the Wilmington coaching staff as the best practice player.

Silvis joined Bley and Miller hitting in the top of the Quakers' order this season and finished his junior season second on the team in batting average (.318). Silvis, who played primarily second and third base defensively, tallied 47 hits to go along with 20 RBIs and 16 walks draws.

Jared Ferenchak, though he did not receive All-OAC recognition, was named the team's Most Valuable Pitcher. The senior led the pitching staff in wins (2), innings pitched (68.0), saves (1), complete games (1) and earned run average (4.50). Ferenchak twice pitched into extra innings including a 10-inning win over the University of Mount Union.

Aaron Burns, who like Ferenchak, wasn't on the All-OAC teams, was named the team's Newcomer of the Year. The freshman hit a .230 clip with three doubles and 11 RBIs.

Wilmington finished its 2019 season with an 8-29 overall record and a 4-14 mark in OAC competition. The four conference victories are the most since the 2011 season.
