WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College baseball team scored the final five runs in a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Ivy Tech Fort Wayne in the home-opener at Tewksbury-Delaney Field on Wednesday afternoon.

The Titan jumped on Wilmington starter Michael Weisenberger for four runs (two earned) on seven hits in 4.2 innings. A Gage Bley RBI-single that scored Mason Walker in the bottom of the third scored the hosts first run, but Weisenberger was pulled after surrendering a two-out double in the top of the fifth. Thomas Hueber entered the game and got a strikeout end the inning.

Hueber ended up having the best outing of his career. The sophomore allowed just one runner to reach base (on a hit by pitch in the ninth inning) over the final four innings to earn his first career win. That victory wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Bley, who finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBIs including an RBI-single in the in the fifth and the go-ahead RBI-double scoring Nick Silvis in the seventh. Bley's single in the fifth helped spur a three-run inning that including Walker scoring on an error and Silivs on a balk.

Hueber struck out five batters in the relief in his victory while Ivy Tech Fort Wayne used seven pitchers in the game.

Wilmington (2-9) hosts Franklin College in a doubleheader on Saturday before facing the Grizzlies in a single game on the road the following day.
