(ADA, Ohio) – Caleb Tackett represented the Wilmington College wrestling team on day two at the NCAA Division III Central Regionals, hosted at Ohio Northern University. The Quakers as a team finished the regional in 16th place out of 19 teams with 15.5 points. After beginning the day in the semifinals of the 197-pound weight class, Tackett finished the tournament in sixth place after going 0-3 today.

Tackett began his day against eventual winner Demond Harrison of Albion College. Tackett took a 1-0 lead over Harrison into the third period after a late escape in the second period. A nearfall in the third period gave him a 3-0 lead, but a late escape and takedown for Harrison along with the riding time point sealed a 5-3 decision defeat.

His first consolation match was against John Carroll University's Jesse Kanatzar. Tackett took a 1-0 lead into the third period after an escape point in the second. A late takedown though gave Kanatzar a 3-1 decision victory.

Tackett's last match of the day came against Wabash College's Neil Johnson for fifth place. Tackett took a big 7-0 lead into the second period after a takedown and four-point nearfall in the first. Neither wrestler scored in the second period. Johnson got a takedown on Tackett in the third period and would eventually pin him at 4:14.
