Hurst and Lewellen Both Pick Up Wins at Findlay Open

(FINDLAY, Ohio) – The Wilmington College wrestling team competed at the Findlay Open Saturday, hosted by the University of Findlay. After a huge dual win on Tuesday night, the Quakers had four wrestlers competing in Michael Louison (141 pounds), Rylan Hurst (149 pounds), Cooper Rack (165 pounds) and Tim Lewellen (285 pounds).

Both Hurst and Lewellen picked up their first collegiate wins this afternoon. After losing via technical fall in the prelims to Lake Erie College's Austin Fietz, Hurst came back with a 12-3 major decision victory over Ashland University's Clayton Alley. Hurst then dropped his final match by technical fall.

Lewellen won his first match by fall over Tiffin University's Kyle Magyar in 4:06. Lewellen was then pinned in his next two matches to end his tournament.

Louison lost his first match via technical fall to West Liberty University's Khyvon Grace and his second match by fall to the University of Findlay's Ashton Anderson. Rack lost both his matches today by fall.
