WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's cross country team heads out to New Concord for the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Cross Country Championships. The meet will be hosted at Moorehead Farm by Muskingum University for the first time in over 10 years.

The Race: The men's 8,000-meter race will begin at 2:00 PM.

The Teams: Wilmington will go head-to-head against the entire OAC for the first time this season. The Quakers enter the weekend with its highest regional and national ranking ever entering into postseason competition. The team currently sits at No. 4 in the Great Lakes Region and No. 28 in NCAA Division III. Wilmington entered this season ranked 10th in the region, and thus far, has exceeded all expectations.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 27th season as head cross country coach at Wilmington College. A 1993 graduate of Wilmington, Combs was a member of the only cross country team to win a conference title in school history. Also the head track & field coach at the College, Combs led the Fightin' Quakers to two top-10 finishes nationally with a sixth place finish at the 2002 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships and a seventh place mark at the 2004 Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Squad: The trio of Simon Heys, George Rickett and Noah Tobin are coming off of a home sweep. The Quaker Train went 1-2-3 in the final race of the regular season, and no better place than at home. Eric Reynolds and Jackson Nagle rounded out the scoring five for the squad and have helped bolster down the team throughout the season. Tate Yoder and Ryan Honkomp will also be in the mix to help the Quakers compete at the OAC Championships.
