WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington will be sending the men's team off to Tiffin, Ohio to compete in the Greg Tyson Jr. Invitational on April 10th.
The Schedule: Events will start early, 10:00 AM for the field events followed by track events at 11:AM.
The Teams: At Hoernemann Stadium, Wilmington will be joined by hosts Heidelberg as well as Ohio Northern, Baldwin Wallace and Marietta.
The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.
Who to Watch: Evan Whitaker will be competing in the 5,000-meter run a week after taking first place in the 3,000 meter at Ohio Northern University. Max Queen, who has been jumping out of his shoes all season, will be competing in the jump ante as he is entered in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.
