Men's Track & Field Begins Indoor Season at Otterbein on Sunday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track and field team kicks off its 2021 season with an indoor meet at Otterbein University on Sunday.

The Schedule: Field events are slated to begin at 11 a.m. while competition on the track begins at noon.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Otterbein alongside John Carroll University, Capital University and Ohio Northern University.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Wilmington will have four individuals competing this weekend - Simon Heys in the 5K, Anthony Gilmore in the high jump, Nate Marcum in the weight throw and Joe Shuga in the weight throw and the shot put.
