WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College Men's track and field team will continue its 2021 season with an Elite OAC indoor meet at Capital University and Otterbein University on Sunday.

The Schedule: Track Events at Otterbein will begin at 11:00 AM and jump events following shortly after at 11:30 AM.  Pole Vault at Capital will begin at 1:00 PM followed by throw events.     

The Teams: Wilmington will be facing off against the OAC Conference: Baldwin Wallace University, Capital University, Heidelberg University, John Carroll University, Marietta College, Mount Union University, Muskingum University, Ohio Northern University and Otterbein University. 

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch:  Athletes competing at Capital:Blake Jamison in shot, Andrew Pacifico in weight, Joe Shuga in shot and weight and Nathan Marcum in weight.  At Otterbein: Anthony Gilmore in high jump, Simon Heys in the 3000-meter run, Evan Whitaker in the 5000-meter run and George Rickett in the 5000-meter run.  All athletes competing for the Quakers are ranked top 16 in the Ohio Athletic Conference in their individual event.
