Throwers Shine for Men's Track & Field at Harrison Dilliard Twilight Meet

RESULTS

BEREA, Ohio - The Wilmington College throwers highlighted the men's track & field team's performance at the Harrison Dilliard Twilight Meet hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Friday.

A trio of Fightin' Quakers - Nate Marcum, Andrew Pacifico and Joe Shuga - finished 1-2-3 in the hammer throw with Marcum heaving 54.38 meters, Pacifico hurling 51.75 and Shuga throwing 51.08 meters. Blake Jamison also competed in two other throwing events, taking runner-up honors in the shot put (15.13 meters) and third in the discus (47.11 meters).

George Rickett was the lone individual to run in track events, crossing the finish line in 15:35.23 in the 5,000-meter run to take ninth.

The meet was not scored as a team as individuals were trying to improve marks to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Wilmington will have one more opportunity to improve individuals' marks at the University of Mount Union next Wednesday.
