LEXINGTON, Kentucky - The Wilmington College men's swimming team swept two dual meets on Saturday afternoon, defeating Wittenberg University 166-80 and edging host Transylvania University 138-120 at the Beck Center.

Four Fightin' Quakers won individual events on the day including Cameron Bolen in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.86) and the 100-yard freestyle (50.82 seconds). Teammate Jacob Worley, who finished behind Bolen in the 100-yard freestyle (3rd, 54.28 seconds) won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.09 seconds. Other event winners included Austin Reed in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.01) and Michael Phillippe in the 200-yard IM (2:10.62).

Reed also placed, alongside teammate Dane Klosterman (3rd, 24.57 seconds), in the 50-yard freestyle (2nd, 23.86 seconds) while Phillippe placed third in both the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.13) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:45.35). Logan Lippert and Aaron Polk also tallied third-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.40) and the 100-yard butterfly (57.61 seconds).

Two Quaker relay teams won events on Saturday as Phillippe, Bolen Polk and Worley's swim of 1:43.64 won the 200-yard medley relay and Reed, Bolen, Polk and Worley won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:32.47).

"Both teams started faster today and created an environment where they could carry some momentum through the meet," Head Coach Trip Breen said. "Both teams have been training well, confidence should come from training, not racing. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to race the next three weekends. As a group, we still have a lot to learn."

Wilmington returns to the water for a dual meet against Hiram College at home on Nov. 6.
