NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's soccer team earned a decisive 3-0 victory over Muskingum University in an Athletic Conference (OAC) road contest on Wednesday evening.

The Fightin' Quakers, who were looking for the full three points after a 1-1 draw at Heidelberg University on Saturday, surrendered two shots in the first 90 seconds, but settled in afterwards. The game was scoreless at the midway point of the first half, but Elorm Dogbey, the reigning OAC Offensive Player of the Year, didn't wait long after to get his name in the scoring column. The senior's first shot in the 27th minute was blocked, but he got the rebound to open the scoring. Wilmington would fire seven more shots in the first half, but couldn't double its lead.

In the second half, the Quakers pelted the Muskie defense with 17 shots. Two of them would find the back of the net as Alfie Harris scored off a pass from Brady Shapiro in the 66th minute and Jeffry Vasquez intercepted a defender's pass in the 81st minute to put the game away. In total, Wilmington held a 29-11 advantage in total shots, 14-2 in shots on goal and 9-2 in corner kicks.

Felix Maurer, aided by the Quaker back line, earned another shutout victory while Zach Marchesano made 10 saves in defeat. Dogbey led the way with six shots while Vasquez took five. Five other Quakers fired multiple shots. A quartet of Muskies – Mahfuz Yakubu, Morgan McKenna, Adam Yazbeck and Trevor Firkel – all took two shots.

Wilmington (8-0-2, 1-0-1 OAC) heads to the University of Mount Union for a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday.
