GRANVILLE, Ohio - Elorm Dogbey, the reigning Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Offensive Player of the Year, scored twice in the first half as the Wilmington College men's soccer team downed Denison University 3-1 on Saturday evening to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Big Red, who entered the game without a defeat in four contests, held a slim 4-3 edge in shots in the first half, but it was the Fightin' Quakers who capitalized on their chances. In the 19th minute, Michael Owusu fed a pass to Dogbey who netted the game's first goal. Midway through the half, Dogbey doubled the visitors' lead scoring his fourth goal in three games played.

Denison ramped up the pressure in the second half, doubling Wilmington in shots 8-4, but it was Jeffry Vasquez that put the game away with his unassisted goal in the 81st minute. The hosts wouldn't be shutout, however, as Cole Trigg scored unassisted in the 89th minute.

Felix Maurer improved to 5-0-1 on the season making four saves on five shots in net while Dylan Brown took the loss for Denison, allowing three goals with three saves. Dogbey was the lone Quaker to take multiple shots, scoring both, while Victor Rocha and Luca Vicinelli both took three shots for the Big Red.

Wilmington (5-0-1) hosts Franklin College for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday evening.
