WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team heads to Marietta College for a matchup with the undefeated Pioneers at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Marietta. The Fightin' Quakers are 3-1-0 on the season after a 1-0 victory over Ohio Northern University on Saturday. The Pioneers are atop the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) standings with a perfect 4-0 record having defeated Capital University 1-0 at home.

The Coaches: Alex Van der Sluijs is in his third year leading Wilmington's men's soccer team. The 2007 alumnus, who was a three-time First Team All-OAC selection and a member of the program's only team to win an OAC title in 2004, worked at Defiance College for seven seasons. Joe Bergin is in his eighth season coaching his alma mater. Bergin was Marietta's starting goalkeeper on the program's only OAC championship team in 1984.

The Players: Wilmington is led offensively by a trio of Quakers – Elorm Dogbey, Zach Burgmeier and Ian Molfenter. All three have scored multiple goals this season while Dogbey has dished out two assists. Starting goalkeeper Felix Maurer, alongside a stout defense, has a goals against average of 0.53. Reggie Grayek has scored four of the Pioneers' eight goals on the season. Marietta's back line and goalkeeping duo of Dakota Penquite and Ryan Riccillo have surrendered just one goal this season.

Series History: Wilmington is 14-7-1 against Marietta since becoming an NCAA Division III member in the early 1990s. The Pioneers have won five of the last six meetings, however. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the link above.
