Baseball Unveils 2020 Schedule

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College baseball team has announced its 2020 schedule. The Fightin' Quakers' begin their campaign in late February and the regular season comes to a close in early May.

Wilmington will open the season similar to last year with three neutral-site games in Carbondale, Illinois. The Quakers will face Blackburn College and the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Saturday, Feb. 22, followed by North Central College the following day. The month of February concludes with a home-opening doubleheader against Elmhurst College on Feb. 29.

The Quaker Bowl Rivalry game opens on March 3 as Wilmington will travel to Earlham College for a 6 p.m. contest. The rest of that week features four games at Tewksbury-Delaney field that begins with a single game against Franklin College on March 7 and ends with a three-game, weekend series with Alma College. The following week is a reverse of the previous as Earlham comes to Wilmington and the Quakers go to Franklin. A spring break trip on the weekend follows as the Quakers will play Birmingham Southern University on March 13 and 15 with a neutral-site contest against Emory University sandwiched in between.

The end of March has non-conference home games with Hiram College (March 17) and Wittenberg University (March 22) and two Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) series - at Baldwin Wallace University (March 21) and versus John Carroll University (March 28).

After opening April with a home series against Marietta College (April 4), Wilmington will be on the road for six straight games - Ohio Wesleyan University (April 5), Capital University (April 7) and the University of Mount Union (April 10) - before returning to Tewksbury-Delaney Field on April 15 & 18 for series against Otterbein University and Heidelberg University respectively. The month ends with non-conference games at Wittenberg (April 22), vs. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (April 26) and Miami University-Hamilton (April 26).

The final two OAC doubleheaders of the regular season are at Muskingum University on April 25 and at Ohio Northern Univeristy on May 2.
