WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team hits the road on Saturday for a trip to Southeast Ohio and Marietta College. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Marietta. The Fightin' Quakers enter the game 5-7-1 overall and an even 2-2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) record after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Ohio Northern University on Wednesday. The Pioneers are 1-9-1 overall and in search of their first conference victory after a 2-0 loss to Capital University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk returns to coach his 30th year for the Wilmington women's soccer team. Spirk has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournament appearances including five berths in the regional semifinal ("Sweet 16") round. Six Wilmington teams have claimed regular season conference titles under Spirk's tutelage including three OAC titles in a span of four years from 2000-03. Sean Kaighin is in his third season as Marietta's head women's soccer coach.

The Players: A trio of Quakers – Maddie Scott, Heidi Edens and Courtney Ryan – have netted multiple goals with Scott leading the bunch at three. Scott and Elizabeth Matthews have dished out two assists while Wilmington's goalkeeper, Lauren Galloway, has 75 saves and a 1.75 goals against average. Angelene Kontul and Emmah Kronenbitter are the two Pioneers to have netted multiple goals this season.
