Women's Soccer Travels to Wooster Looking to Build on Recent Victory

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team travels to Wooster to take on the Fighting Scots at Carl Dale Field Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Wooster. Wilmington (1-4-1) looks to buid on their recent victory at Earlham. Wooster (2-4-0) is hoping to bounce back after consecutive defeats. Wooster is 2-0-0 vs. the OAC this season.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk returns to coach his 30th year for the Wilmington women's soccer team. Spirk has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournament appearances including five berths in the regional semifinal ("Sweet 16") round. Six Wilmington teams have claimed regular season conference titles under Spirk's tutelage including three OAC titles in a span of four years from 2000-03. David 'Geordie' Brown is in his 31st season leading the Fighting Scots. He boasts a win percentage of .639 and has led Wooster to consecutive NCAC championships in 2018 and 2019.

The Players: Senior goalkeeper Lauren Galloway has 2 shutouts and 28 saves on the season. Maddie Scott leads the way offensively for the Quakers with 14 shots on goal and two goals. Tiffany Hayes, Ema Menges, Courtney Ryan and Jenna Victor have each scored a goal for the Quakers. Hallie Krzys is a standout freshman for Wooster and has scored four goals in six games. Tedi Farson and Katie Schumacher have each scored two goals for Wooster.

Series History: Wilmington is 9-8-1 vs. Wooster all time. Wilmington won the most recent contest in 2016 by a score of 3-0.
