WBB Preview: Earlham Quakers

Wilmington returns to the court for the first time in 10 days, and it will mark the first road game of the season as the Fightin' Quakers travel to Earlham 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SERIES: This is the seventh meeting between the two teams, and Wilmington holds a slim 5-1 lead.

THE LAST TIME: Spencer Robles tied a career-high as Wilmington put four players in double figures, and the Fightin' Quakers recorded the 82-71 non-conference victory over Earlham on December 30, 2014 at Fred Raizk Arena in Hermann Court. The victory snapped Wilmington's three-game losing streak.

Robles hit five three-pointers and finished with 19 points in 27 minutes to lead Wilmington. Brittaney Jefferson added 16 points as WC's two-guard position combined for 35 of the team's 82 points.

Mary Moyer added 11 points and six rebounds, while Courtney Tucker chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. Emily Smith pulled down a team-high seven boards to go along with nine points.

MEET EARLHAM: The Quakers enter the game 0-3 on the season after Sunday's 71-35 loss to Kenyon. In the loss to the Ladies, Earlham shot 25.9 percent from the field and committed 28 turnovers.

Senior guard Hannah Franklin is the only Earlham player scoring in double figures, averaging 18 points per game. She opened the season with a career-high 27 points in loss to LaRoche. She is shooting 44.7 percent from the field.

Sophomore guard Ashlea Meadows is the team's leading rebounder with 5.7 boards per game. She is scoring 2.7 points. Freshman guard Shannon Pittman is second on the team with 6.7 points per game.

PRESEASON POLL: Wilmington was picked to finish third in the Ohio Athletic Conference preseason poll behind reigning OAC regular season champion Ohio Northern and Baldwin Wallace. The Fighin' Quakers return four starters from last season's team that finished 11-16 overall.

WELCOME BACK: Senior Ashley Andracki returns for her fifth year after missing all of the 2015-16 season with an injury. She has stabilized the Wilmington offense, averaging 7.0 points with 10 assists and just three turnovers. Andracki is seventh in the league with a 3.3 assist to turnover ratio.

FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICAN: Sophomore guard Mackenzie Campbell returns after earning freshman All-American honors from Women's DIII News. The reigning Ohio Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year leads the team with 13.0 points per game, scoring 13 points in all three games. She earned Damon's/Hampton Inn Tip-Off Tournament All-Tournament team honors.

GIVE US MOYER: Senior Mary Moyer opened the season by hitting the game-winning shot against Denison, but her biggest contributions have been on the defensive end. The team's best perimeter defender is second in the league with 9.0 rebounds.

HOOPING SAVAGE: Junior Savannah Hooper comes off the bench to score 9.7 points per game, which is second on the team. Her seven three-pointers lead the team.

LOCK DOWN: The Fightin' Quakers are third in the Ohio Athletic Conference allowing just 56.7 points per game.

GIFT OF GIVING: Wilmington leads the OAC with 17.7 assists per game. In the win over Olivet, WC assisted on 25 of the team's 32 baskets.
