Women's Cross Country Closes the 2023 Season

(NORTON, Ohio) - The Wilmington College women's cross-country team finished out the 2023 season at the home of John Carroll on Saturday. The Quakers finished 36th as a team with a score of 988. Calvin took home the team victory after winning the tie-breaker at 90 points. DaPauw(90) and Hope(113) rounded out the top-three respectively.

The Freshman Duo of Meghan Cory and Hayden Setty finished one-and-two for the Quakers. Cory crossed the line in 135th-place with a 23:40.5 personal best finish. Setty came across in 179th-place in a time of 24:41.8. Junior, Bella Stevens, finished in 204th to round out the top-three for the team. "I am proud of everyone on the team and the effort they gave today," said Head Cross Country Coach Ron Combs. "Our team has shown a tremendous amount of improvement and growth throughout the season. We have a good crew of athletes to build on that can return next year ."

The Quakers finish up the 2023 cross-country season and will begin to prepare for the track season.
